Eagle Rocks
Eagle Rocks was a sacred place for the Thracians, connected to the eagle cult.
The Legend
It was believed that eagles carried the souls of ancestors to the gods. Locals say that if you stand on the edge of the rock and call out the name of your ancestor, their spirit appears in the cloud above the rock.
According to another legend, a giant eagle lived at the top, guarding the valley from invaders. When enemies approached, the eagle let out a cry that could be heard for kilometers.
